See how these young ladies are for the first time in touch with a steel
pan. It is the ONLY instrument that was invented in the 20th century in
Trinidad and Tobago. A steel pan is a hand made an instrument out of an
oil barrel. For many hours the material needs to be “ponged” in the
right way to generate the sweet sound.
These students are presenting their "Ocean Bird" - a recreated carnival costume at Woodbrook Secondary School.
